Katy Gamelin has over 25 years of experience. She has been with Essex Physical Therapy for over 15 years. She has experience working in many areas of physical therapy including: geriatric care; orthopedics for all ages; Postural Restoration™; and Craniosacral Therapy. She has a specialization in Dance Rehabilitation.

Aliza began her physical therapy career here at Essex PT, for the first five years out of graduate school, building a solid foundation through excellent mentorship and experience. During this time Aliza developed an interest in Women’s Health and pelvic floor therapy, in addition to treating traditional orthopedic conditions, and managing post-operative patients, with a PRI approach typically emphasized. She then spent nearly 6 years working as a Home Health physical therapist, where Aliza gained valuable insight into the unique situations and challenges patients face while functioning in their home environment, carrying out home exercise programs, and preparing their home to age in place. With the perfect combination of clinic and home-based experience, Aliza happily re-joined the EPT team in January 2024, specifically working with the mobile division, On The Move PT, to bring the same high quality outpatient services to patients in their home, office or location of choice. Aliza has a particular interest in making post-partum rehab more accessible for moms with new babies, by offering mobile PT services to help moms recover from pregnancy and delivery, while babies remain in the comfort of their own home.


Hobbies and Interests:

Aliza enjoys traveling, reading/audiobooks/podcasts, boating, water sports, and camping with her family in the summers. Aliza has two young boys, and her husband runs their large maple sugaring operation, which keeps the Lamphere family very busy during the winter and early spring months. Fun fact: exercise is Aliza’s favorite form of stress relief!
